The name "Special Formula" was used for custom batches of Upjohn formulations. in 1976, the person who owned the bottle below wrote to The Upjohn Company for more information about it. They received a reply stating that five 1-gallon bottles were filled on the 16th December 1929 for the original customer in Morrisville, Pa under batch number 17662. In 1929 all Upjohn manufacturing was in Downtown Kalamazoo. It's amazing that the production log books for the 1920s were still in existence in 1976.
