In 1968, one of the most popular TV series was "The Beverly Hillbillies", and Granny on the show was a cultural icon. She visited Kalamazoo in that year to help promote Cheracol D cough syrup. Here are some photos and articles from the Intercom of that occasion.

December 2025 update - Quinton Hoover has digitized a promotional record used in stores for the Cheracol D advertising campaign. You can listen to Granny on YouTube at this link. The record was not of high-quality to start with and it's worn now, so the sound isn't perfect, but what a survivor!
