A plant to make plastic bottles, syringes and other containers to support the Portage manufacturing plant was opened in 1981. It was located in Building 248 on Kilgore Road. It was still operational in 1988 but was gone by 1994. I speculate that it had become too expensive capital-wise and Upjohn leadership wanted Building 248 for a Rogaine production facility.
