The memos below
were all written in the 1920's by John S. McColl, the company treasurer. In this 1915
picture, #3 is John McColl with W.E.Upjohn on his left. He was
said to be a "straight arrow" and a close friend of Dr. Upjohn. As you will read, John had the highest work standards
and required everyone else to have those standards too. John
worked for The Upjohn Company for fifty years before he finally
retired.
