On March 31st, 2021, Pfizer broke ground on a 420,000 square feet new sterile production facility. It is called Modular Aseptic Processing because the actual production lines will be in self-contained modules that can be moved or replaced very easily. Large doors on the north side of the building will allow new modules to be easily delivered right onto the production floor. This building is intended to be complete by the end of 2023. It will look like in the artist's drawing above. Actual production is expected to start in 2025. The first product will be a pain medicine known as Dynostat.
