Progaine was a shampoo that Rogaine users were encouraged to use. The pitch was that it was scientifically formulated to help Rogaine grow hair, but production people in Building 41 told me it was just baby shampoo. That's probably not quite true but close! It was introduced in 1989. There was also a Progaine Conditioner. In the 1990s, Upjohn was trying to position themselves as the leader in the research and care of thinning hair.

Rogaine is still being sold but Progaine was discontinued.
