Vintage Upjohn Bag This Upjohn bag is different to any other one I've seen. It does not appear to be real alligator skin, as the pre-WWII Upjohn bags were made from. However, it is not one of the familar alligator-grain bags made from calf skin. I can only speculate that this was one of the earliest calfskin bags, made before the more familiar alligator skin look became standard. See the later bags at this link. |
